Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles confirmed that Allen Robinson will get more red zone targets while Julius Thomas misses time with a hand injury.
Allen Robinson to get ‘more targets’ in red zone, per report, fantasy upside remains high
As the Jacksonville Jaguars are forced to compensate with the loss of Julius Thomas to start the season, they may have someone well-suited to pick up the slack. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bortles told Hays Carlyon of The Florida Times-Union:
“Allen is going to be huge for us, but especially with Julius out,” Bortles said. “He’s going to have to pick up some slack in the red zone. Obviously, he’ll get more targets.”
Fantasy Spin: Having Robinson be an integral part of the red zone offense makes sense, given his size and sterling reports surrounding him all summer. It’s the latest encouragement that has aided Robinson’s rising average draft position into the sixth round, where he could still present value.
Versus a middling Carolina Panthers defense in the first week, Robinson should once again see a workload in line with the nine-target average he posted in 2014. Should those include goal-line targets, as well, the second-year receiver could be a strong bet to find pay dirt in his season debut.
Robinson remains a WR2 to open the season, and has considerable upside going forward.
