Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was not spotted at practice on Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs.
Alshon Jeffery absent from Monday’s practice, fantasy owners have cause for concern
The No. 1 wideout on the Bears depth chart remained sidelined on Monday due to a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Bears’ brass has not specified much on a calf injury that has kept Jeffery sidelined, although there hasn’t been an expressed concern over his Week 1 status. But with opening weekend rapidly approaching, Jeffery being absent from practice early in the week is not an encouraging sign.
Fantasy Spin: Since nothing definite has been reported regarding Jeffery’s availability for the regular season, fantasy owners will have to remain in limbo as the week progresses. It’s still too early for doom and gloom among those who spent an early-round pick on him, but eyebrows should be raised across the board.
A diligent monitoring of practice reports must be exercised throughout the week for Jeffery's owners before deciding whether to bench him. If he plays, he remains a low-end WR1 versus the Green Bay Packers secondary. If he sits, Martellus Bennett and Eddie Royal should see an uptick in targets.
