The Denver Broncos decided to call it quits on the Montee Ball experiment Sunday. The team waived Ball, who was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. With C.J. Anderson emerging as the team's clear cut lead back and other players providing depth at the position, Ball became expendable. Ball is still very young and has a draft pedigree that's still respected enough to warrant another shot elsewhere. If Ball isn't claimed by another team on Monday, he'll be a free agent.
Montee Ball waived by Broncos, makes for intriguing fantasy flier
Montee Ball is no longer with the Denver Broncos. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: It all comes down to where Ball eventually lands. If a team in need of a running back claims him, Ball could have some real value in fantasy leagues. The running back is worth a stash for now, but he's nothing more than a wait-and-see flier for fantasy owners. In the meantime, Ronnie Hillman owners have a bit more assurance as he's firmly the Broncos' next running back behind Anderson now.
