Tennessee Ttians running back Bishop Sankey has a tenuous grip on the starting job that continues to slip away. ESPN’s Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky, while analyzing the 53-man roster, notes that Sankey has been “not yet good enough to be the established lead guy.”
Bishop Sankey’s fantasy value continues to drop with expected Titans committee
Sankey could be mired in another backfield committee in Tennessee this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Titans acquired Terrance West from the Cleveland Browns to compete with Sankey for snaps. With rookie David Cobb going on short-term injured reserve, Tennessee is expected to run a backfield committee once again. Sankey struggled in his rookie year, plodding to just 569 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 3.7 yards per carry.
Fantasy impact: Sankey should still take the first snap when the Titans open their season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday, but after that, it’s anyone’s guess. Beyond West, the team also has Antonio Andrews and Dexter McCluster, both of whom figure to see a decent number of snaps. Fantasy owners should avoid this situation entirely until we get a clearer picture of the pecking order.
