Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) is active for the team's Week 17 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Calvin Johnson injury update: WR active for Lions, fantasy owners
The Detroit Lions wide receiver is active for Week 17. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson did not participate in practice on Wednesday, then got in a limited session on Thursday before sitting out practice yet again on Friday. It will be the first time Johnson has been active for all 16 regular season games since 2012.
Fantasy impact: Between Johnson’s injuries and the team’s struggles on offense, it’s mainly been a year to forget for “Megatron.” Through all 15 games played, Johnson has caught 78 passes for 1,077 yards and eight touchdowns.
Despite his healthy 13.8 YPC and above average stats, his production this year simply falls short of the elite numbers we’ve come to expect from one of fantasy football’s best wide receivers over the years.
Three of Johnson’s touchdowns came in one game and he’s only gone over 100 yards receiving once this year. Fortunately, that game came in their first matchup against Chicago.
Johnson remains a WR1, but he’s a lot harder to trust with two lines under 20 yards receiving and no touchdowns in the last three games.
