New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot) has been ruled out for the team's Week 17 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Edelman did not participate in practice Wednesday before getting in a limited session Thursday and Friday. Despite the limited work, Edelman didn't even travel with the team and the Patriots will keep him rested for their playoff push.
Julian Edelman injury update: WR ruled out for Patriots, fantasy owners
The New England Patriots’ wide receiver has been ruled out for Week 17. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: With Edelman out and Danny Amendola highly questionable, the Patriots could be with an extremely depleted receiving corps led by Brandon LaFell. Though he'll get more looks, LaFell hasn't found the end zone once this year and has finished with less than 40 yards receiving four times in the last five, games making him a WR4. Keshawn Martin will also continue to be involved. He finished last week with seven receptions for 68 yards and figures to see a similar workload with both receivers out. Martin could offer WR3 value in PPR formats in that scenario, especially if the Pats can put the nail in the coffin early against the Dolphins.
