Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart (foot) has been ruled out for the team's Week 17 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Stewart did not participate in practice at all this week and will return to the field in the playoffs.
Jonathan Stewart injury update: RB ruled out for Panthers, fantasy owners
The Carolina Panthers’ running back has been ruled out for Week 17. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: A steady and reliable option for owners all season long, Stewart's injuries hit just in time for the fantasy playoffs. He hasn't played since Week 14 and Carolina has done its best to replace him, but it's no secret that the run-first team's offense hasn't been the same without Stewart. The running back by committee has consisted of Fozzy Whittaker, Cameron Artis-Payne and full back Mike Tolbert. No one from the bunch has been anything more than a hit or miss RB3, but that could change this week with Whittaker out as well. Artis-Payne should be in line to see10-15 carries, putting him on the RB2/3 fence.
