The Week 6 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears features two struggling teams still searching for their identities. We’ve got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Jacksonville Jaguars

After being held out of the end zone in the first two games of the season, wide receiver Allen Robinson appears to be finding his stride. He has scored three times in the last two games. The challenge for him is that he’s been held under 60 receiving yards in each of the last three games. His season high came in Week 1, where Robinson posted 72 yards against the Green Bay Packers. It seems he and quarterback Blake Bortles simply have not been able to recapture the chemistry that they had together last year.

More of the blame for that falls on Bortles than Robinson. Bortles has had trouble taking care of the football this season. He racked up six interceptions in the first three games of the year. He was, however, able to take care of the ball in Week 4, leading Jacksonville to its first win of the season. A juicy matchup against the Bears might see Bortles perform well for the second straight game. That’s music to the ears of his fantasy owners.

Chicago Bears

With rookie Kevin White out for the rest of the season, wide receiver Cameron Meredith got a chance to strut his stuff in Week 5. He didn’t disappoint. Meredith caught nine out of 12 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. He effectively tripled his yardage total for the season in one game. Meredith clearly has the size and athleticism necessary to be a No. 2 receiver. He’s just now going to get that opportunity. The Jaguars are fairly giving when it comes to allowing fantasy points at the wide receiver position. If Meredith can capitalize for the second straight week, he will be a hot commodity on the waiver wire in time for Week 7.

Meredith will be supported in the Bears’ offense by running back Jordan Howard. Howard amassed 163 total yards against the Colts in Week 5 and he has 229 rushing yards in the last two weeks combined. He’s making a case for keeping the starting running back job even when Jeremy Langford gets back from injury. Howard should be able to continue his hot streak against Jacksonville, a team that only ranks in the middle of the pack against the run.
