Fantasy football projections, Week 6: Bengals-Patriots featuring A.J. Green, Tom Brady, Martellus Bennett, more
We break down the Week 6 matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots.

Cincinnati Bengals
The Dallas Cowboys did a great job limiting wide receiver A.J. Green in Week 5. Green was held to four catches for just 50 yards. He has now been held out of the end zone in three of the last four games. Facing off against the Patriots in Week 6 should force the Bengals to throw the ball more often. It theoretically means Green is in for a better performance. At the same time, only three teams in the league have given up fewer points to fantasy wide receivers than the Patriots. Green is a star, no doubt. Hopefully he decides to rise to the occasion and put up some big-time numbers for fantasy owners.
Perhaps running back Giovani Bernard can help create some breathing room for Green. Bernard started over teammate Jeremy Hill against Dallas and produced 96 yards on 15 touches. His value is higher in PPR formats. Hill is currently listed is questionable for the game in New England. Even if he does play, Bernard may actually see more touches going forward. In a game that should see the Patriots ahead for most of the afternoon, Bernard’s pass-catching ability may see him go well above his projected totals in Week 6.
New England Patriots
Many believe coming off suspension that quarterback Tom Brady is on a mission and that the NFL better watch out. After his first start of the season, it’s hard to argue that there isn’t a chip on his shoulder. Brady scorched the Cleveland Browns in Week 5. He finished the afternoon with 406 passing yards and three touchdowns. It appears he’s in midseason form despite the fact he’s been off for a month. The Bengals are clearly a cut above the Browns in terms of offering the Patriots some resistance, but fantasy owners need not be afraid. Three more touchdowns and 350 passing yards is always within reach for one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
What might be in reach for tight end Martellus Bennett in Week 6 is another day filled with touchdowns. Despite the fact teammate Rob Gronkowski posted more yards in Week 5, it was Bennett who found the end zone on three different occasions in Cleveland. It’s hard to depend on touchdowns for fantasy points, but when you own a Patriots player, it’s easier to stomach. Bennett is indeed a big red-zone target. Now that he’s got a Hall of Fame quarterback throwing him the football, those extra targets inside the 20-yard line are going to pay off for the rest of the season.
