The Week 4 matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets features two teams known for solid defensive play. We’ve got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Seattle Seahawks

Quarterback Russell Wilson had to leave the team’s Week 3 win over the San Francisco 49ers early with a knee injury. Fortunately for his fantasy owners, he’s pretty determined to play this week despite an MCL sprain. Whether or not he will be at 100 percent remains to be seen. Against an above average defense in New York, Wilson will be hard-pressed to pass for more than his season-high of 258 yards. Given that he scores some of his fantasy points using his legs, Week 4 may be a good time to go with somebody else at quarterback.

Those who really want to put a Seahawks player in the lineup should focus on Christine Michael. He broke out last week for his first 100-yard game of the season against the San Francisco 49ers and scored two touchdowns on 20 carries. If teammate Thomas Rawls doesn’t rush back from injury, Michael may have a lock on the starting job in a week or two. To say the least, Michael should be highly motivated to play well in New York in Week 4. That can only bode well for his fantasy owners.

New York Jets

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall sat out a few snaps in trying to overcome a knee injury in Kansas City in Week 3. He was held to just three catches for 27 yards against the Chiefs. The good news is quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions in the game, so Marshall’s subpar stats are not his fault. He will be tightly covered by Seattle, but Marshall has been a top-flight NFL receiver for a long time. Being another week removed from his injury will only help his cause. If Fitzpatrick is his old self, Marshall could find himself back in the end zone in Week 4.

If Fitzpatrick struggles for the second straight game, then New York’s best option will be running back Matt Forte. After posting 196 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the first two games of the season, Forte was limited to just 65 yards against the Chiefs. It was a tough game all around for the Jets. Forte should be able to bounce back a little bit against the Seahawks, albeit against a strong run defense.
