Fantasy football projections, Week 4: Raiders-Ravens featuring Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, Mike Wallace, more
We break down the Week 4 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens.

Oakland Raiders
The Baltimore Ravens rank sixth in the NFL when it comes to limiting fantasy points scored at the quarterback position. That means Derek Carr may have his work cut out for him in Week 4. Carr completed 21 passes for 249 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the team’s previous game against the Tennessee Titans. He should be in line for a better total in Baltimore, but it’s obvious Carr still has some work to do to be considered an elite fantasy starter.
Being able to connect regularly with Amari Cooper on Sunday may help Carr’s cause. The two missed each other on an expected touchdown in Tennessee, and Cooper’s stat line totaled four catches for 62 yards. One thing that is a bit concerning is that Cooper has yet to catch a touchdown pass this season, although he does have a two-point conversion to his name. Perhaps an afternoon in Baltimore will get the Raiders’ top receiver in the end zone.
Baltimore Ravens
Mike Wallace’s hot streak is over. The veteran deep threat was held to just three catches for 34 yards against Jacksonville in Week 3. The performance came after Wallace started the season with seven catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns in his first two games of the season.
The Ravens don’t really have another deep threat in the passing game, so he should get a sniff of the end zone against Oakland. The Raiders seem to have a thing for high scoring games. Wallace might be a good flex play in deeper leagues as he could turn just a few catches into a touchdown in Week 4.
Given three different receivers have at least 106 yards against the Raiders this year, Wallace is a good bet to produce. If he struggles, quarterback Joe Flacco will look to tight end Dennis Pitta to keep the first-down markers moving. Pitta had six catches for 42 yards in Week 3.
While it doesn’t look like he’ll end up with many touchdowns given that he doesn’t have any after three weeks, Pitta is a big red zone target. Add that to the fact Baltimore’s running game has struggled all year, and Pitta just might score his first touchdown of the season against Oakland.
