New York Giants

Start ‘em

Yes, Odell Beckham, Jr. faces one of the most daunting defenses in the NFL, one that just held Kelvin Benjamin to zero catches on one target. And yes, Beckham still deserves to be started. As long as he is healthy, he should never come out of lineups, even if he were to do battle on the field with a kicking net.

Start ‘em?

While the targets should still be there for Beckham, it’s hard to envision fantasy production trickling down to the rest of the Giants’ offense. Sterling Shepard has had a brilliant start to his NFL career, but he could be stonewalled by a Vikings defense that has simply murdered opposing offenses. He can be considered a boom-or-bust flex option for fantasy owners looking to fill a void from Packers and Eagles players on bye weeks.

Sit ‘em

Rashad Jennings is a game-time decision, which puts him out of consideration to start with the Giants having to play on Monday night. Victor Cruz and Eli Manning, who have been brilliant together in the past, don’t warrant the fantasy consideration in such a tough matchup on the road. It’s a prime week for Manning owners to stream quarterbacks instead.

Minnesota Vikings

Start ‘em

Stefon Diggs was finally held in check by a sturdy Panthers defense, but he still has a high floor with the dinking and dunking Sam Bradford feeding him high-percentage throws. Diggs has shown himself capable of doing quite a bit with those chances, and he could have the volume to thrive as a WR2 even against an improved Giants defense.

Start ‘em?

Kyle Rudolph remains a touchdown-dependent tight end, but with the Vikings having nothing behind Diggs in the receiving game, Rudolph deserves low-end TE1 consideration against a defense that hasn’t exactly shut down opposing tight ends in 2016. Additionally, Jerick McKinnon could garner the usage that puts him in flex territory, after the Giants allowed a sputtering Washington running game to get going in Week 3.

Sit ‘em

The Vikings appear destined to win lots of games in 2016, but it won’t be on the back of their offense. Sam Bradford, Matt Asiata and the rest of the Vikings’ role players do not deserve starting consideration.
