Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak announced Monday that starting quarterback Trevor Siemian is “day-to-day” with an AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder, according to Broncos reporter Andrew Mason.

Siemian was carted off in the field in Sunday’s blowout win over Tampa Bay after taking a hard hit on a sack late in the second quarter. The second-year QB did not return to the game, though coach Kubiak said he could have gone back in, according to Ryan Koenigsberg of BSODenver.com. Coach Kubiak gave no indications that he expects to be without his starting QB for Week 5, stating that he does not need to practice fully to be ready for Sunday, Mason further reports. Siemian will undergo an MRI on Monday.
Fantasy Impact: Until the results of the MRI come in, it is hard to tell if Siemian will be available for fantasy owners in Week 5. The good news is the injury was to his non-throwing shoulder, so his throwing abilities should not be too limited if he plays. If Siemian can not suit up, rookie Paxton Lynch will get the start. Look for Lynch will get some attention on waivers this week as this situation further develops.
