Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz said on Monday that his MRI was clear and he plans to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions, according to Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com. Ertz has been inactive since displacing a rib near his collarbone in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns. Though there was no break or fracture, Philadelphia elected to rest its fourth-year tight end in Weeks 2 and 3 to avoid potential serious internal damage that could result if the rib did not properly reset. The Eagles had their bye week in Week 4.
