Fantasy football projections, Week 10: Broncos-Saints featuring Kapri Bibbs, Drew Brees, Mark Ingram, more
We break down the Week 10 matchup between the Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints.

Denver Broncos
Devontae Booker’s time as the Denver Broncos’ go-to running back just might be over. Teammate and undrafted free agent Kapri Bibbs looked more impressive in the team’s Week 9 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Bibbs total to 80 yards against the Raiders despite playing just nine snaps in the game. Sixty-nine of those yards came on an impressive catch-and-run touchdown with the game out of reach. Booker, on the other hand, has averaged just 2.62 yards per carry on 29 attempts since he was named the starter. That’s simply not good enough. Bibbs could be the dark course that blows his projections out of the water in Week 10. He is particularly worth a gamble in PPR formats.
If the Broncos running game continues to struggle, Denver will have to look to wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to make an impact. Thomas’ season has been somewhat disappointing. He has just one 100-yard receiving game this season. Despite being targeted 10 times in each of the last four games, Thomas has been held under 60 receiving yards in three of those contests. The New Orleans Saints can put up a lot of points, and they are equally willing to give them up. It’ll be interesting to see if Thomas can put together a big game. Fantasy owners certainly hope he does in Week 10. They have every right to expect more given how many opportunities he’s getting.
New Orleans Saints
After an atrocious start of the season, the Saints find themselves in second place in the NFC South division. The team’s recent success has a lot to do with the play of quarterback Drew Brees. He completed 28 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He got help from the running game as well. It was a good day for the team’s offense overall. No team in the league has given up fewer fantasy points to quarterbacks than Denver, but Brees is a future Hall of Famer. It’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top in Week 10.
Perhaps Brees will if running back Mark Ingram can repeat what he did to the 49ers last week. Ingram exploded for 158 rushing yards and a touchdown in just 15 carries against San Francisco. Averaging 10 yards a carry obviously isn’t sustainable, but it was nice to see him break out. Despite his effort, Ingram is still expected to share the backfield with teammate Tim Hightower going forward. Perhaps another big week from Ingram against a stacked defensive squad like the Broncos will help him earn more touches in time for the fantasy playoffs. Don’t count on him reaching his projections despite his recent outburst.
