Fantasy football projections, Week 10: Bengals-Giants featuring A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Odell Beckham, more
We break down the Week 10 matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Giants.

Cincinnati Bengals
After catching just one pass during his season debut back in Week 7, Tyler Eifert made his return to fantasy prominence in Week 8. He caught nine of 12 passes for 102 yards and his first touchdown of the season against Washington. Now that Eifert appears fully recovered from injury, and he’s had a bye week to rest, he can be counted on to start against the Giants. He just might surprise owners for the second straight game and go way above his projections. That’s because the Giants are really good on the outside at defending receivers. They boast one of the best secondary units in the league. On the other hand, they only rank in the middle of the pack at defending opposing tight ends. Eifert is a solid choice to start in Week 10.
So is A.J. Green. Green has taken his personal fantasy performance to a new level in 2016. He’s currently averaging exactly 112 receiving yards per game through eight weeks. The New York Giants have not allowed a single receiver to surpass 85 yards this season. Green might be the first to buck that trend and rise above. It’s not going to be easy, but he has the talent and ability to get it done. That said, fantasy owners would be wise to take a conservative approach and assume that Green will not reach his projections in Week 10. He will be watched closely by the opposing team.
New York Giants
As good as the Bengals’ Green has been, fellow wideout Odell Beckham Jr. has taken a while to find his stride for the Giants. Fortunately for fantasy owners he’s finally found it. The Philadelphia Eagles did a fairly good job at limiting Beckham’s production in Week 9. The electric playmaker finished with just four catches for 46 yards. Fortunately, two of his catches went for touchdowns, which saved his fantasy day. Cincinnati’s secondary ranks 21st in the NFL and Beckham has five touchdowns in his last four games. If he can grab his sixth in Week 10, beating his projections is well within reach.
The same can’t necessarily be said for rookie Sterling Shepard. He has been held to less than 50 receiving yards in all but two games this season. In last week’s win over Philadelphia however he did manage to finally score the third touchdown of his career. Shepard is easily the No. 2 receiver in the Giants’ offense, but the team as a whole isn’t very good. That makes the young rookie a good play in deeper leagues, but almost irrelevant in standard 10 and 12-team formats. It’s hard to imagine both he and Mr. Beckham topping their projections against the Bengals.
