Fantasy football projections, Week 12: Washington-Cowboys featuring Jordan Reed, Rob Kelley, Ezekiel Elliott, more

The Week 12 matchup between Washington and the Dallas Cowboys features division rivals facing off in an all-time classic matchup. We’ve got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Washington has demonstrated both talent and depth on the offensive side of the football that is arguably as good as any other team in the NFL. It’s made the top players on the squad surprisingly valuable in fantasy leagues. As pleasantly surprising as it may be, it all starts with tight end Jordan Reed. He’s been a stable influence in Washington’s passing game for a few years now. He caught five out of six targets for 79 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. While Reed has just one touchdown since returning from a concussion in Week 8, he faces a porous Cowboys pass defense in Week 12. Dallas ranks 21st in the league in that department. Reed should be targeted early and often in the game. If he finds the end zone it will lead him passed his projections.

If he doesn’t, chances are running back Rob Kelley will. He scored three times against the Packers last week and finished with 24 carries for 137 yards. All three numbers were both season and career highs for Kelley. While 66 of his yards against Green Bay came on one play, there’s really nobody in Washington set to challenge Kelley for carries. Volume will equate to points in Week 12. Kelley’s totals should be high enough to rise above expectations even in a tough game on the road.

Is there any doubt Ezekiel Elliott is the 2016 offensive Rookie of the Year? He most certainly is in fantasy formats, if not in reality. He touched the ball 29 times against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 and turn that into 127 total yards. That’s not too bad against a top-ranked rush defense. Elliott rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown against Washington back in Week 2. Now that he’s had two months straight of incredible play under his belt, Elliott should top those numbers and his projections in Week 12.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant is a solid fantasy option against Washington as well. After posting six catches for 80 yards and two scores against the Ravens, Bryant now has 12 catches in the last two weeks. He also has two 100-yard games and four touchdowns over the last four weeks. It’s safe to say he’s found his chemistry with Dak Prescott, which is a good thing considering the rookie is finally the top dog in Dallas. Bryant should be his usual self against Washington, which will see him beat his projections for the third week in a row.
