Running back DuJuan Harris is slated to start in place of Carlos Hyde for the San Francisco 49ers. With a shoulder injury forcing Hyde to miss Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints, Harris has earned the increased role after leapfrogging Shaun Draughn and Mike Davis, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. In somewhat of a surprise start, Harris will be facing a relatively solid matchup against the struggling Saints defense.

Against the New Orleans Saints defense, Harris should see his share of opportunities to both run the football and catch it out of the backfield.
Fantasy Projections: With a favorable matchup ahead for surprise starter Harris, fantasy owners should be excited to pick him up off the waiver wire and plug him in Week 9 as a solid flex option. With the number of injuries that have been hitting running backs this year, fantasy owners are scratching and clawing for solid waiver options. For Week 9, Harris is that option.
