Fantasy football trade advice, Week 10: Buy-low, sell-high wide receiver trade candidates

What wide receivers have the best and worst trade value heading into Week 10 of the 2016 NFL season?

There are four weeks left until the playoffs and owners need to sure up their rosters to make the final cut. Wide receiver has been an interesting position to navigate this season. There is a lot of talent out there, but we have not seen the usual names at the top. So which wideouts are worth the investment? Here are the receivers to pick up or trade away for Week 10.

Buy Low

Rishard Matthews, Tennessee Titans

Matthews has five touchdowns in the past five weeks, a league-high tie with WR Mike Evans. He also leads the Titans receiving core in targets and snaps in the same span. It looks like he is making strides with Marcus Mariota even as the QB continues to spread the ball around.

Matthews ability to find the end zone is only one of the reasons he’s a popular pick right now. He is the hot target heading into a soft schedule. Tennessee faces some of the worst secondaries in the league heading into the their Week 13 bye. Since Matthews is available in most leagues, now is a good time to grab him.

Tyrell Williams, San Diego Chargers

Williams is en route to be the receiving leader for the Chargers this season. While many San Diego receivers have gone down with injuries, Williams has become the pass-catching leader with 60 targets and 595 receiving yards. He is also tied with Travis Benjamin and Hunter Henry for second in touchdown receptions with three.

Williams’ potential is only going to grow. He is becoming Philip Rivers’ go-to target in a pass-heavy offense and has upside in a match-up against Miami before the Charger’s Week 11 bye. Williams will have to face a handful of tougher defenses down the stretch, but he will get enough targets to be fine. He is a quality buy that should be fairly cheap.

Sell High

Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys

Bryant is having a rollercoaster season. It looks like his knee issue is a real problem for his game. He missed four weeks with the injury and was questionable coming into a poor Week 9 outing against Cleveland. Bryant also faced a shadow coverage all game which proved to be effective.

The week prior, the two-time Pro Bowler went off for 113 yards and a touchdown against Philadelphia.

That has been the story of Bryant’s season. One week a boom, the next a bust. As he struggles with injury, and adjusting to rookie QB Dak Prescott, owners should look to get off this ride. Bryant being the threat he is will have a great rate on return especially in a package deal.

Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants

Beckham is not living up to his projected 2016 fantasy season. Week 3 and 6 withstanding, Beckham has only averaged 52 yards a game and he did not find the end zone until Week 5.

Beckham is scoring of late, though. He’s recorded four of his five touchdowns this season in the last three weeks, two against Philadelphia in Week 9. Still most of Beckham’s explosiveness so far has been sidelined. With the playoffs around the corner, now is a good time to sell Beckham for a more certain option.
