Fantasy football projections, Week 14: Seahawks-Packers featuring Doug Baldwin, Jimmy Graham, Jordy Nelson, more
We break down the Week 14 matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers.

Seattle Seahawks
Wide receiver Tyler Lockett stole the show against the Carolina Panthers in Week 13. Still, the talented and explosive receiver is behind Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and Jimmy Graham on the depth chart when it comes to targets. Baldwin in particular had quite an efficient game against the Panthers. He caught all seven of his targets for 65 yards in the win over Carolina. Baldwin now has at least six receptions in four out of his last five games. He should be able to continue producing his reliable numbers in Green Bay. Hopefully he can find the end zone and push well beyond his projections. That’s unlikely, however, given that Baldwin has scored in only one of the last eight games. It would be better for fantasy owners to play it safe and start somebody other than Baldwin in Week 14.
The aforementioned Jimmy Graham should definitely be in starting lineups. Graham caught six out of nine targets for 63 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers last week. He now has a healthy 12 receptions over the last two weeks. Green Bay ranks in the bottom third of the league at defending opposing fantasy tight ends. Given that Graham has finally solidified his role in Seattle’s offense, there’s no reason to think he won’t put together another solid effort at Lambeau Field. It should be noted, however, that Graham has yet to score a touchdown in two consecutive games this season.
Green Bay Packers
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of the last seven games. That’s the good news for his fantasy owners. The bad news is the Seattle Seahawks have only given up 11 passing touchdowns all season long. That’s an average of less than one per game for all you math wizards out there. Perhaps the absence of Earl Thomas will allow the Packers more of an opportunity to exploit the Seahawks, but that’s unlikely. In a tough matchup that carries its share of playoff implications for both teams, fantasy owners shouldn’t be surprised to see Rodgers perform below his projected totals in Week 14.
That doesn’t mean wide receiver Jordy Nelson won’t rise above his. Nelson caught eight out of 10 targets against the Houston Texans last week and finished with 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. He has now caught at least eight passes in three of the last four games. He’s also seen at least 10 targets in four out of the last five contests. No matter what changes around Nelson and his quarterback, it’s obvious the connection between the two remains the same. Richard Sherman will undoubtedly do a good job covering Nelson, but the receiver should still be able to get open enough to challenge his projections. Generally speaking, the matchup is still less than ideal as the fantasy playoffs begin.
