Fantasy football projections, Week 15: Jaguars-Texans featuring Allen Robinson, DeAndre Hopkins, Lamar Miller, more
We break down the Week 15 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans.

Jacksonville Jaguars
2016 has been a lost season for pretty much every offensive player on the Jaguars’ roster. That includes wide receiver Allen Robinson. He has just 90 receiving yards in the last four weeks combined. Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings was an absolute disaster. Robinson caught just one pass for 17 yards in the game. It’s time to bench him. There’s no way he will reach his projected totals against the Houston Texans. That’s especially true considering it looks like teammate Marquise Lee has surpassed him on the depth chart as the team’s No. 1 receiver. One of the top fantasy players of the 2015 season, Robinson has been an absolute bust this year.
With that being said, let’s elaborate on Lee’s play of late. He caught five passes for 113 yards against the Vikings last week. It was his second 100-yard receiving game of the season. Houston ranks fifth best in the league at defending opposing fantasy receivers, so neither Lee or Robinson will be expected to reach projections in Week 15. Only fantasy owners who are desperate should even consider starting anyone in the Jaguars passing game with a spot in the fantasy finals on the line.
Houston Texans
As disappointed as fantasy owners of the Jaguars’ Robinson have to be, owners of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are likely just as bitter. Despite the fact his team beat the Indianapolis Colts last week, Hopkins finished with just two catches for 33 yards in the game. He’s now put up more than 58 receiving yards just once over the last seven games. He’s also on pace to finish with less than 80 receptions and fewer than 1,000 yards for the first time since his rookie season. It’s clear Hopkins’ fantasy value is slightly lower with Brock Osweiler at quarterback. Fantasy owners would be smart to leave Hopkins on the bench this week and to draft him in a later round in 2017.
Hopkins’ down year means running back Lamar Miller is the most trustworthy fantasy option in Houston’s starting lineup. Miller carried the ball 21 times and rush for 107 yards and a touchdown against the Colts last week. He was the driving force behind the team’s victory. Jacksonville’s run defense ranks 23rd in the NFL. There’s no reason to think Miller won’t be all over them in Week 15. A Texans victory gets the team one step closer to clinching the AFC South division, which would give the team a home playoff game. Given what’s at stake, Miller should see a ton of action on Sunday. That action will give him plenty of opportunities to surpass his projected totals.
