Welcome to Week 16 of the Daily Fantasy season. While season-long leagues are down to their championship weeks, leaving the majority of those owners with no games to play, the DFS world keeps chugging right along. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at wide receiver who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football wide receiver plays for Week 16
With Week 16 of the NFL season upon us, we take a look at some of the best wide receiver values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
DeAndre Hopkins $6,600 (Houston Texans vs. Cincinnati Bengals)
Wow, how long has it been since Hopkins appeared on the “play” side of this article? It hasn’t all been Hopkins’ fault. His quarterback for the first 15 weeks just destroyed his value. I don’t know if Tom Savage is the answer, but Hopkins was as close to the guy we thought we were getting last week as any time this season. Seventeen targets is hard to ignore, especially at his price point.
Donte Moncrief $5,900 (Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders)
The Raiders pass defense is always worth targeting, and with Moncrief expected to return from his latest injury and his price suppressed because of it, he is an ideal tournament play. Let the masses chase T.Y. Hilton while we get similar production at $1,700 less. Lest anyone forget, Moncrief had touchdown catches in five straight games before getting hurt two weeks ago.
Cameron Meredith $5,500 (Chicago Bears vs. Washington)
Similar to Moncrief, it’s the No. 2 receiver in this offense that should emerge as the main man against the Washington defense. Outside receivers actually struggle against Washington, so the popular Alshon Jeffery could be in for a tough day, while Barkley is funneled toward Meredith. Even with Jeffery back last week, Meredith still had 13 targets. He isn’t going away.
Robert Anderson $5,500 (New York Jets at New England Patriots)
Three games into the Petty Administration and it’s pretty clear that Anderson is the favored target in this offense. Anderson has 29 targets over the past three games and has at least 14 FanDuel points in all three. The Jets will be throwing a ton in what should be catch-up mode all day. Double-digit targets seems a lock for Anderson, as the Pats look to take Brandon Marshall out of the game.
Tyler Lockett $4,700 (Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals)
The Cardinals defense is operating on reputation alone at this point. While the defense retreats, Lockett has risen, producing a pair of 22-point games over his past three. Arizona’s tailspin should continue in the harsh environment of Seattle, and Lockett seems poised to take advantage at almost rock-bottom pricing.
NAY
Julio Jones $8,500 (Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers)
The last time Jones faced the Panthers, I told readers to avoid him, and he promptly went out and gobbled up 300 receiving yards. So you better believe I’m doing it again. With the game in Carolina and Jones again dealing with an injury, lightning can’t strike twice, can it?
A.J. Green $7,400 (Bengals at Texans)
Green says he’ll give it a go after five weeks on the shelf, and while rostering any player who is a game-time decision in a night game is risky by itself, the fact that Green would be returning against one of the top pass defenses should curb any temptation to take a chance on him.
