Fantasy football projections, Week 16: Washington-Bears featuring DeSean Jackson, Rob Kelley, Alshon Jeffery, more
We break down the Week 16 matchup between Washington and the Chicago Bears.

Washington
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is getting hot at the right time for Washington and his fantasy owners. He caught seven of 10 passes for 111 yards against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. The effort marked the first time this season that Jackson has put together back-to-back 100-yard performances. He’s also accomplished the feat in three of the last four games. With teammate and tight end Jordan Reed struggling to overcome a shoulder injury of late, Jackson will likely garner more targets the rest of the season. He should be all the parlay those targets into another impressive game in Chicago. Surpassing his projected totals at this point is probably a foregone conclusion in Week 16.
Even though it sounds like Reed will play hurt this week, running back Rob Kelley is probably the next best fantasy option on the team this week. Kelley only rushed for 8 yards on nine carries against Carolina last week but he saved his fantasy day by scoring a touchdown and also adding 47 yards via the passing game. He has now scored a touchdown in back-to-back games and his yardage total should be much higher against Chicago. Considering those two likely outcomes Kelley should blow past his projections for the third week in a row.
Chicago Bears
Alshon Jeffery returned to the lineup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15 after serving a four-game suspension. He made an instant impact in his return catching six of nine passes for 89 yards and his second touchdown of the season. Jeffery has been targeted at least eight times in each of his last four games. That’s a healthy volume. With quarterback Matt Barkley surprising people, and nobody else in Chicago’s passing game doing much of anything, Jeffrey should be a top notch performer against Washington.
Running back Jordan Howard is the only other player on the team likely to surpass his projections on Saturday. Howard rushed 17 times for 90 yards and a touchdown against the Packers last week. He has now rushed for at least 84 yards in four of the last five games and he has scored four rushing touchdowns over that stretch. Only three teams have given up more fantasy points to running backs than Washington. That gives Howard a fantastic outlook going into the fantasy finals. He’ll crush his projections in Week 16.
