Fantasy football projections, Week 16: Cardinals-Seahawks featuring David Johnson, Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett, more
We break down the Week 16 matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals
When it comes to running back David Johnson, it’s different week same story. Johnson put together 100 total yards again this week extending his NFL record for 100-yard games to start a season. Johnson only rushed for 53 yards against the New Orleans Saints last week but he found the end zone twice and also added 55 receiving yards. It’s been clear all season that the coaching staff is going to do whatever it takes to get him touches and put him in a position to succeed. That philosophy has allowed fantasy owners to succeed over and over again. Despite being held out of the end zone when these two teams faced off in Week 7, Johnson still put together 171 total yards in the game. There’s no reason to think he won’t deliver another dominating performance in the fantasy finals.
When the Cardinals need to switch things up offensively, wide receiver .J.J. Nelson figures to see steady action. He was a popular waiver wire pickup earlier this year when he appeared to have an edge on now ex-teammate Michael Floyd. Now that Floyd is with the New England Patriots, Nelson’s getting an opportunity. He’s capitalized on it scoring touchdowns in three straight games. Nelson was targeted 11 times against the New Orleans Saints last week and turn that into five catches for 38 yards to go with his score. Still prior to last week, Nelson had only been targeted eight times in the previous three weeks combined. He’s on a hot streak right now but fantasy owners who start him against Seattle will be taking a big chance.
Seattle Seahawks
After being picked apart by the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago and drawing a season-high five interceptions, Russell Wilson rebounded against the Los Angeles Rams last week. He completed 19 passes for 229 yards and a trio of touchdowns. While Seattle and Arizona combined for 12 points total the last time they played each other, Wilson has certainly had an excellent second half of the season. He should be expected to throw multiple touchdowns and throwing for over 250 yards is not out of the question. Considering those he will likely reach those benchmarks, Wilson is a good bet to surpass his projections on Saturday.
If Wilson is able to get the passing game rolling, it’ll benefit the team’s fastest wide receiver, Tyler Lockett. Lockett caught seven of eight passes last week for a career high 130 yards and scored his first receiving touchdown of the season. While he only has 104 receiving yards in the previous two games before that combined, Lockett has displayed his electric ability in the kick return game and contributed a boatload of fantasy points that way. He’s fast, athletic and versatile. For that reason he may actually be worth a Week 16 waiver wire addition. Lockett can definitely help fantasy owners win their 2016 league championship.
