Welcome to Week 17 of the Daily Fantasy season. This is always the most interesting week of the season, as so many top players will either not play or be limited as teams prepare for the playoffs or have nothing to play for. This creates tremendous value opportunities across all positions. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at quarterback who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football quarterback plays for Week 17
With Week 17 of the NFL season upon us, we take a look at some of the best quarterback values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Matthew Stafford $8,000 (Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers)
All we want is opportunity and motivation. No game provides us with both quite like the Lions-Packers game, which could be an all-or-nothing affair for both teams depending on how the afternoon games shake out. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from rolling with Aaron Rodgers at $8,800. But if you want the discount and the lower ownership, Stafford is the better tournament play.
Kirk Cousins $7,900 (Washington vs. New York Giants)
The only thing better than two teams motivated to play in Week 17 is one team with motivation and a prolific passing game facing a team in preseason mode with a playoff spot locked up. The Giants will offer token resistance with their starting defense, but only for so long. Cousins could rack up monster numbers once the Giants go into their bench.
Russell Wilson $7,600 (Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers)
Not really sure why Wilson is this cheap in a game the Seahawks will be motivated to win against a team they should destroy in all facets of the game. Wilson might be the best running back available for Seattle at this point, and he should run circles around the terrible 49ers run defense. If he keeps for a six-point rushing TD or two, he’s going to put owners way ahead of the curve.
Blake Bortles $7,600 (Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts)
Here’s a game on the other end of the scale, with two teams playing out the string. Sometimes these games turn into shootouts, as no one is selling out on defense. Bortles has a big game in him, and the Colts might be happy to accommodate him here.
Robert Griffin III $6,200 (Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers)
The Steelers are going to be in preseason mode from the start on Sunday, and no one was a bigger preseason hero in 2016 than RG3. The Browns want to get Terrelle Pryor the 1,000-yard milestone, so Griffin will be looking for him all day. And if Pryor does go off, Griffin will soak up some of that production. RG3-Pryor is the stack of the week.
NAY
Dak Prescott $7,700 (Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles)
Prescott is expected to start, but the Cowboys will definitely be in preseason mode with its first-teamers. Does that mean a half, or a quarter, or maybe a couple of series? Whatever the total, it won’t be anywhere near enough to touch him with a 10-foot pole.
Eli Manning $7,500 (Giants at Washington)
See above.
