Welcome to Week 17 of the Daily Fantasy season. This is always the most interesting week of the season, as so many top players will either not play or be limited as teams prepare for the playoffs or have nothing to play for. This creates tremendous value opportunities across all positions. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at wide receiver who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football wide receiver plays for Week 17
With Week 17 of the NFL season upon us, we take a look at some of the best wide receiver values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Adam Thielen $6,500 (Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears)
I admit it. I have a man-crush on this guy. Whenever Stefon Diggs has been ruled out this season, I instantly put Thielen into my lineups. Sam Bradford loves throwing to him, and last week was the cherry on top of his rookie season sundae. Diggs might be out again this week with nothing to play for. All the Thielen!
Terrelle Pryor Sr. $5,900 (Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers)
Are they still celebrating in Cleveland? The Browns got their team win last week against the Chargers, and now they can take care of an individual milestone the team is eager to achieve. Pryor needs 87 yards to reach 1,000, and head coach Hue Jackson came right out and said they want him to get it. With the Steelers fully in preseason mode, who’s to say Pryor doesn’t go for a 200-yard explosion?
Steve Smith Sr. $5,800 (Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals)
We have a similar scenario in Cincinnati. Smith said this week that Sunday will indeed be the final game of his career. One of the greats of the game takes the field for the final time. You can be pretty sure Joe Flacco is going to call for No. 89 over and over and over. This could be a 20-catch, 200-yard farewell performance.
Eli Rogers $4,700 (Steelers vs. Browns)
As we mentioned, the Steelers are going into preseason mode with nothing to play for in Week 17. It is a perfect opportunity for Rogers to get the reps and targets necessary to pay off a cheap salary. The Browns are still one of the worst defenses in football, so even Landry Jones should be able to put up numbers. And Rogers will have a big say in that.
Brice Butler $4,500 (Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles)
Speaking of preseason mode, the Cowboys are going to pull their main guys early, and we might even see a backup quarterback who used to be the starter in Dallas. How much run will Tony Romo get? Enough for Butler to be the beneficiary of any passing exploits. Butler got back on the fantasy map with a touchdown last week and could be in line for a busy day once the Bryants and Beasleys of the world take a seat.
NAY
Odell Beckham Jr. $8,800 (New York Giants at Washington)
The Giants are going to be in preseason mode at some point in this one, and does New York really want to risk another Beckham-Josh Norman confrontation? If he plays more than a quarter, it will be a shocker.
Dez Bryant $7,500 (Cowboys at Eagles)
See above, except for the Norman part.
