Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews has been ruled inactive Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals. After suffering an ankle injury the previous week, Matthews will officially miss his first career game, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. With the Eagles struggling as of late, Matthews’ absence from the field will definitely make the offense adjust its game plan against the equally struggling Bengals. Looking to keep their playoff hopes alive, Matthews’ production will have to be made up by other pass catchers like Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham.

Fantasy Outlook: Missing the first game in his NFL career, Matthews has his fantasy owners sad to start the day. Without his receiving ability Week 13, owners are scouring the waiver wire and analyzing bench options to supplement his missed production. Any option owners may find will be a WR2 or Flex option at best this late in the season. Fantasy owners surely believe that Matthews can’t return soon enough.
