Fantasy Football trade advice, Week 14: Buy-low, sell-high tight end trade candidates

Congratulations, you made the playoffs, but are you ready? This is the final week to make moves that can turn your playoff berth into a championship. The tight end position has been really tricky to figure out this season because it is so thin. So which tight ends should owners have their eye on to make a playoff run? There are some steals on waivers and some big names ripe to deal. Here are the final tight ends to buy and sell for Week 14.

Pitta ended his 17-game scoring drought with quite a bang. The sixth-year TE went off for 90 yards on a season-high nine receptions and two touchdowns, leading the Ravens in targets, receptions, and scores Week 13. Pitta actually leads the team in receptions on the season and is clearly Joe Flacco’s go-to man in the passing game.

As the Ravens offense continues to surge late, Pitta’s numbers will continue to flourish. Available in most leagues, Pitta is a cheap pickup that could pay off well for owners in the playoff. He is a good pick for owners struggling to find the right TE to use down the stretch.

Davis is once again the top TE in Washington after Jordan Reed went down Thanksgiving Day with a separated shoulder. The 11-year veteran handled a tough Week 13 matchup against Arizona well catching five passes for 47 yards. This was Davis’ second five-reception game in two weeks.

Washington leans heavily on the tight end in their offense with Reed leading the team in targets and receptions. Davis is going to be called on to fill a lot of the void Reed leaves in the middle of the field and the red zone. With no timetable on Reed’s return, leverage Davis as a good streaming tight end, especially for the final two weeks of the playoffs.

Ertz benefited tremendously from a pass-heavy offensive effort Sunday. Targeted on 25 percent of a season-high 60 pass attempts from Carson Wentz, Ertz caught a nine passes for 79 yards and one touchdown in Week 13. Etrz continues to benefit from a depleted receiving corps missing Jordan Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham. Sunday was his best game since Week 9 and his second touchdown of the season.

The Eagles offense has been gutted with injuries all season. They are due to get some rushers back in Week 14 and will likely look to get back on track with the running game. Owners should not anticipate another 60 pass attempts from Went again this season. That will impact Ertz greatly. Also, the Eagles get all their division rivals and a tough Baltimore defense to close the season. Best shop Ertz now.

Sunday Graham had his second straight six-reception, 60-plus-yard output in the Seahawks blowout of Carolina. This week the three-time Pro Bowler was able to find the end zone, too. He would have had two scores, but he dropped a would-be touchdown late in the first half.

Graham has not been an out-of-the-box TE, but he is playing consistently at the moment. He is tied with Doug Baldwin for a team-high five touchdown receptions and is second in all other receiving categories. All good numbers, but well behind any of his breakout seasons in New Orleans. Owners that need to make a deal should leverage Graham’s stock and sell before the playoffs commence.
