John Brown still suffering from headaches, fantasy value looking unclear
Despite returning to practice last week, Brown appears to still be experiencing concussion symptoms. We look at the fantasy implications.
Brown was cleared to practice last week in a limited fashion, but the concussion symptoms appear to be lingering. Head coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday that Brown is still suffering from headaches. With the regular season just two weeks away, Brown’s availability could be a big question mark for Week 1.
Fantasy impact: Maybe it’s not time to hit the panic button yet, but it has to be concerning that Brown is still experiencing problems nearly a month after the concussion. When healthy, the third-year receiver is a strong fantasy WR3 with game-breaking upside, but fantasy owners have to take his injury risk into account when they do their drafts this week.
Perhaps we’ll learn more about Brown’s status when the Cardinals officially begin regular season practice next week, but it’s far from a guarantee.
