Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron showed up on the team’s injury report and sat out of practice Wednesday with an apparent back injury, according to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News. The Lions’ 2014 first-round draft pick has had an impressive start to the season, catching nine passes on 12 targets for 99 yards and a touchdown through the first two games. The Lions are being very quiet about their breakout TE’s injury. There is no word on what exactly Ebron’s back injury is or how severe it may be. Also, there is no indication that Ebron will be scratched for the Lions’ Week 3 division matchup in Green Bay.

It is hard to tell if the Lions are just resting their breakout TE or if he has a serious injury because the team is being so silent about the matter.
