Against the Cardinals, a key matchup for Goodwin will be against All-Pro defensive back, Patrick Peterson. Expect Peterson to focus on neutralizing the speed of Goodwin in the passing game.
Fantasy Projections: Despite hauling in a long touchdown in his Week 2, Thursday night matchup against the New York Jets, Marquise Goodwin still only has 2 catches on 5 targets this season. Lining up against the Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals, that number is not expected to increase very much. Fantasy Owners should be wise to stay away from starting Goodwin for Week 3. They should, however keep him in mind as a possible waiver wire option if he finds success against Peterson and the Cardinals.
