Welcome to the Divisional playoff round of the Daily Fantasy season. Playoff DFS presents its own challenges with limited player pools and more defined roles for starters. That said, there are still plenty of value opportunities across all positions. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at quarterback who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football quarterback plays for Divisional playoff weekend
With Divisional playoff weekend upon us, we take a look at some of the best quarterback values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Aaron Rodgers $8,800 (Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys)
It’s obviously not a value play in terms of salary, as Rodgers is the most expensive QB on the slate. But that high price tag could limit his ownership enough to make him a great choice in large-field tournaments. Rodgers’s stuff is ON FIRE right now, and the Packers are going to have to win this game through the air. This forces you to make some hard choices at other positions, but Rodgers’s upside is immense.
Russell Wilson $8,200 (Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons)
Wilson is once again my favorite overall play of the weekend. He’s the fourth most expensive QB facing a defense that is highly flammable. Wilson got hurt a little last week by Thomas Rawls’ big game, but I’m guessing Wilson is the main man in this one, doing as much damage with his legs as his arm.
Alex Smith $6,800 (Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers)
Last week, the cheap QB play was Connor Cook. That wasn’t happening under any circumstances. This week’s No. 8-ranked quarterback is in a much better spot. Smith has been carving up opponents with an effective short passing game and some timely runs. The Steelers defense can be beaten this way, and Smith could easily wind up with three TD passes. Value is paramount this weekend, and Smith is the only true value at QB.
NAY
Ben Roethlisberger $8,100 (Steelers at Chiefs)
I might feel differently if the game were in Pittsburgh. But he’s on the road, he’s got the foot thing, and the weather looks miserable for Sunday night (so bad that they moved the game to later). Maybe Big Ben goes off for his usual postseason heroics, but I’m seeing this as more of a Le’Veon Bell game, making Roethlisberger’s price a bit prohibitive.
