Welcome to the Wild Card playoff round of the Daily Fantasy season. Playoff DFS presents its own challenges with limited player pools and more defined roles for starters. That said, there are still plenty of value opportunities across all positions. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at wide receiver who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.

PLAY

Davante Adams $7,000 (Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants)

Adams came through in a big way on Sunday night with a pair of touchdowns and a two-point conversion against the Lions. He will likely be the primary option this weekend with Jordy Nelson sure to draw some coverage against Janoris Jenkins. Geronimo Allison might also carry over his fine play from Sunday night, but Adams is the preferred option here and makes for a fine pivot off Nelson at the fifth-highest price point for wide receivers.

Anquan Boldin $4,800 (Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks)

Boldin has been an under-the-radar play for the Lions all season, and he should continue to be a red zone target against the Seahawks. This is a game where the Lions are going to have to try and win through the air, and Boldin is remarkably cheap given his likely involvement. He is an ideal salary saver with the potential to win people tournaments.

Paul Richardson $4,700 (Seahawks vs. Lions)

Richardson has filled the void left by Tyler Lockett, and the Lions are usually best attacked at the No. 2 wide receiver position. So let the DFS world glom onto Doug Baldwin at $6,900 while you take the massive discount on a guy who could easily explode in this one.

NAY

Amari Cooper $6,500 (Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans)

If you can’t trust the quarterback (and we don’t), then you can’t trust the guys at the other end of the passing game. Connor Cook against this solid pass defense on the road has disaster written all over it, and that takes the Raiders’ passing game off the table.
