Welcome to the Wild Card playoff round of the Daily Fantasy season. Playoff DFS presents its own challenges with limited player pools and more defined roles for starters. That said, there are still plenty of value opportunities across all positions. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at tight end who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football tight end plays for Wild Card weekend
With Wild Card weekend upon us, we take a look at some of the best tight end values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Jared Cook $5,200 (Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants)
Cook continues to be active in the Packers’ passing game with 21 targets over his past three games, converting 13 into catches for 178 yards. He is safe for another six or seven targets this week, and if he finally finds the end zone, he becomes the tight end play of the weekend.
C.J. Fiedorowicz $5,300 (Houston Texans vs. Oakland Raiders)
There is only one player that benefits from Brock Osweiler’s return to the starting lineup, and that’s Fiedorowicz, who had tremendous chemistry with his struggling quarterback in the regular season. This should be a busy combination on Saturday and could result in double-digit points. He will probably be popular, but the options are slim.
Xavier Grimble $4,500 (Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins)
When he last played, Grimble hauled in a 20-yard touchdown against Baltimore on Christmas Day. With Ladarius Green’s status uncertain, Grimble has a chance to be the sneaky tight end play of the weekend.
NAY
Jimmy Graham $6,600 (Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions)
This should be a great matchup for Graham, but for whatever reason, he has largely vanished from the Seattle offense. He did have seven targets against the 49ers last weekend, but at $6,600, can we really trust him to put up a big performance?
