Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon will be a busy man against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. He’s been a consistent touchdown scorer in 2017, but will that trend continue?
Fantasy football Week 4: Melvin Gordon, start or sit?
The Chargers running back might not impress in Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.

That’s the question on everyone’s mind, especially considering he’s averaging just 3.3 yards per carry this season on 44 rush attempts.
Fantasy impact: Gordon averaged 3.9 yards per carry last year. He also scored 12 total touchdowns in those 13 games. While this season’s rush totals make it hard for him to reach his projections week to week, it’s got to be just a matter of time before Gordon breaks out.
In deep leagues, Gordon is an automatic start — particularly those with flex positions and multiple running back slots. It’s worth going through with him in your lineup despite a bone bruise.
Be cautiously optimistic. Philadelphia is allowing just 75 yards per contest to opposing running games through three weeks. Hopefully Gordon finds the end zone for the fourth straight week. That’ll help patient fantasy owners.
Recommendation: Start
