To really compete in fantasy football owners have to get creative with their lineups every week. The draft was just the beginning to building a championship team. A quarter into the season, a lot of owners are making moves as the fantasy studs and duds are starting to reveal themselves. If you are still looking to replace Greg Olsen or just want to stash a big guy with a lot of potential, now is the time to be on the lookout for the hidden gems still out there on waivers. Here are the best tight end options owners should go grab right now.
Fantasy football, Week 4: Best players available at tight end in waivers, free agency
These tight ends are easy pickups that will pay off big for owners.

Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (47 percent)
Looking for a tight end matchup to exploit in Week 4, then play Brate against the New York Giants. Brate is a touchdown magnet, leading the NFL in touchdown catches by a tight end a season ago. In Week 3, he caught a perfect four passes for 33 yards and touchdown. The Giants have given up at least one touchdown to opposing tight ends in every game this season. They are also giving up at least 40 yards to opposing TEs. With a matchup this good, Brate is a great streaming option this week.
Charles Clay, Buffalo Bills (62 percent)
Clay has emerged as one of the few reliable receivers in Buffalo. In Week 3, he had a perfect six for six catches for 39 yards and a touchdown against the Denver Broncos. As one of QB Tyrod Taylor’s most trusted catchers, Clay is the second on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards behind LeSean McCoy. He also is tied with Andre Holmes for the most receiving touchdowns. Week-to-week Clay may not be the most productive TE in the league, but his consistency makes him a solid waiver pickup especially for deep-league fantasy owners.
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (8 percent)
Right now, Njoku seems like a fantasy bust. His targets, receptions, and yards total through three games leave a lot to be desired. He only has seven catches on 10 targets for 59 yards, but he has found the end zone in back-to-back games and leads the Browns in catching touchdowns with 2. The Browns are desperate to get the passing game going for their rookie QB DeShone Kizer and they are missing wideout, Corey Coleman, indefinitely. Overtime Njoku is bound to get more looks in the passing game and with his size, he is a red zone gem in the making. Stash Njoku while no one has him on their radar and watch him pay off in the future.
