The Carolina Panthers are happy to see their star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin getting into consistent form. Benjamin caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown on six targets against the Detroit Lions’ stellar cornerback Darius Slay. The majority of those yards came on a perfect 31-yard, outside-shoulder pass from QB Cam Newton in the third quarter.
Fantasy football Week 6, Kelvin Benjamin, start or sit for TNF?
A good matchup gives Benjamin’s fantasy stock a boost on Thursday night.

Benjamin will face a soft Philadelphia Eagles secondary Thursday. The Eagles are ranked 30th against the pass and have given up 1,003 yards to opposing wide receivers, the most in the league. Benjamin had over 100 yards receiving against the New England Patriots in Week 4, the next-worst team in that department having given up 973 yards to opposing wideouts.
Fantasy impact: Facing the Philadelphia Eagles is a gift for Benjamin. He had cupcake defense in Week 4 against New England and went off for 104 yards on four catches. He followed that performance up with 58 yards and a touchdown on four catches against a much tougher Detroit defense. Now, Philadelphia comes to town as the only defense that has already given up over 1,000 yards receiving to opposing wide receivers through just five games. He and Devin Funchess should go off, especially now that Newton is returning to form.
