Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is set to return vs. the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. He was taken off the final injury report, meaning he’s ready to rock on Sunday.
Derek Carr injury update: How to handle Raiders QB vs. Chargers
Will Derek Carr make his return this Sunday?

Carr is recovering from a back injury originally believed to keep him sidelined for 2-6 weeks. It looks like he’ll be back significantly sooner than that timeline.
Even with the injury, Carr was able to practice in each of the last two weeks, though it was mostly limited work. His return Sunday would be great news for the Raiders, since Oakland was relying on EJ Manuel with Carr out. That’s about as big of a downgrade from starter to backup as you’ll see in the NFL.
Though he is set to play, fantasy owners should prepare for Carr to be out this week. Back injuries can be tricky, and it’s not crazy to think something could pop up between now and game time.
Fantasy impact: If Carr were to play, he would face a Chargers defense allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks over the last three weeks. Even if he plays, keep Carr on the bench this week.
