Week 6 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through five weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick quarterbacks who should exceed expectations in Week 6, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football, Week 6: Who to start and sit among wide receivers
We break down the top starting options at wide receiver this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Will Fuller, Houston Texans vs. Cleveland Browns
Fuller is all the way back from his collarbone injury and is blossoming into a star with DeShaun Watson at quarterback. Fuller posted his second straight two-touchdown game last week against the Chiefs, as he has taken full advantage of the defensive attention garnered by DeAndre Hopkins. The Texans should have no trouble moving the ball against the Browns, giving Fuller another great spot to put up big numbers.
This might be the best setup Jackson will see all season. On one hand, Mike Evans is going to get the Patrick Peterson treatment, and while Jameis Winston will undoubtably force the ball to his No. 1 receiver, it’s natural to expect some targets to go to Jackson and Adam Humphries. Across from Peterson is Justin Bethel, who has been the mirror opposite of Peterson, ranked among the worst cornerbacks in the league. Jackson is almost assured of a long touchdown in this game.
With Xavier Rhodes likely working against Jordy Nelson, Adams is in prime position to repeat his heroics of a week ago. Adams has become Aaron Rodgers’ target, earning 39 throws in his direction, eight more than Randall Cobb and 11 more than Nelson.
Sit
Cooper has been a hot mess all season and now he draws Casey Heyward, although the Chargers’ top corner got lit up by Odell Beckham Jr. before the ankle injury. Still, Cooper’s drop issues can’t be ignored and Derek Carr’s effectiveness coming off injury is something of a wild card.
The Jags might have the best fantasy-killing secondary in football. Wide receivers, especially outside guys, have done nothing against this group this season. Even Antonio Brown, at home, was a non-factor last week. If AB can’t do it, how is Watkins supposed to succeed?
The Giants are in real trouble right now, where 0-16 is starting to look like a real possibility. It’s not just the offense, as Dominique Rogers-Cromartie walked out on the team this week and is suspended indefinitely. But Janoris Jenkins is still there, and he is likely to mark Thomas. On the other side of the line, Emmanuel Sanders could easily have been part of the trio listed in the above “Start” section.
