Philip Rivers is a big reason why the Los Angeles Chargers have won three games in a row. They are hoping to make it four in a row in what is likely to be a shootout in New England Sunday. The Patriots defense has been abysmal this season. It has given up over 300 yards passing and a score to every opposing quarterback it’s faced this season except one: Matt Ryan in Week 7. Ryan finished the outing with only 233 yards, but he did score a passing touchdown.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 8: What to do with Philip Rivers Sunday
Rivers has a positive fantasy outlook against a bad Patriots defense.

Rivers is averaging 236 yards and has six touchdowns through the Chargers three-game win streak. Week 7 against the Denver Broncos, Rivers had 15 completions on 26 attempts for 183 yards and two touchdowns. It was his lowest throwing output of the season.
Fantasy impact: Rivers could easily be the seventh QB to pass for over 300 yards on New England this season. The Patriots may have contained Ryan last week, but that is an anomaly and should not be considered the new normal for that lackluster defense. Rivers is also playing well. He has only one game without a touchdown and two games under 200 yards passing. With a deep pool of talented offensive weapons, Rivers has a great fantasy outlook heading into Week 8.
