Tight End O.J. Howard showed why he deserved to be a first-round draft pick in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 7 win over the Buffalo Bills. Howard was a stud catching a perfect six passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. Prior to his career performance on Sunday, Howard had five catches for 107 through Tampa Bay’s first five games of the season.
Fantasy football Week 8: Start or sit O.J. Howard Sunday?
The rookie tight end had a breakout performance in Week 7, but owners may want to hold off on crowning him a fantasy king.

Sunday Howard will look to get his momentum going against division rivals the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are a much tougher foe, allowing just 240 yards to tight ends so far this season. They have given up four touchdowns to opposing big men.
Fantasy impact: It is good to see Howard living up to his potential, but owners may want to pump the breaks if they think he will play like this on a weekly basis. The Bills for some reason refused to cover Howard in Week 7. He was still out-targeted by veteran tight end Cameron Brate and is pretty far down Tampa Bay’s target list this season. He may see some uptick after such a big week, however, the Panthers will not lose sight of him like the Bills did Sunday. Plus Brate is still getting most of Winston’s attention at the tight end position. Hard to trust Howard outside of deep leagues.
