Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen hasn’t scored a touchdown since the opening week of the season. He does have 36 catches for 487 yards to go with his lone score in eight games this season.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 8: What to do with Keenan Allen
The Chargers’ top receiver has struggled to find the end zone lately. We break down the fantasy implications.

In Week 8, Allen faces the New England Patriots, a team putting up lots of points. That could be a good thing for Allen owners.
Fantasy impact: Only two teams have given up more points to the wide receiver position than the Patriots. That’s music to Allen’s ears. He’s put up some big games this year without scoring, but in reality, he needs to find the end zone.
One score through eight games just isn’t good enough. In fairness to Allen, Melvin Gordon is scoring on the ground a lot more these days, which does take something away from the passing game.
Still with just two 100-yard games this year it’s safe to say that Allen is a boom-or-busy player right now. Thank the Week 8 matchup for a good excuse to start him. Otherwise Allen might be sitting.
Recommendation: Start
