Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 300-plus yards and three touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. Unfortunately, he also threw a season-high three interceptions in the contest.
Fantasy football Week 8: Matthew Stafford start or sit?
The Lions quarterback has been a disappointment in 2017. We break down the fantasy implications.

Stafford faces a tough Pittsburgh secondary in Week 8. Only one team has limited opposing quarterbacks to fewer fantasy points this season.
Fantasy impact: Until Week 6, Stafford had thrown only one interception this season. It’s unfortunate he hasn’t even come close to his best performance of the year, which came against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.
Quarterbacks are averaging just 246 yards a game against the Steelers this season, and only one has managed to toss more than a single touchdown pass against them.
The way this season has gone for Stafford, he will probably disappoint against Pittsburgh even on his home turf.
In deep leagues he’ll still be a starter, but halfway through the season, it may be time to find a new starting passer in your lineup. Stafford has thrown for more than 229 yards in a game just twice this season.
Recommendation: Sit
