Editor’s update: Tate is pushing to play, according to Ian Rapoport. Right now it is expected, but it is worth keeping an eye out for updates.
Golden Tate injury update: How to handle Lions WR vs. Steelers
Golden Tate’s lingering shoulder issue could prove costly for the Lions and his fantasy owners.

The Detroit Lions are listing Golden Tate as questionable vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. However, Mlive.com reporter Kyle Meinke says Tate is expected to play Sunday.
Tate was expected to miss multiple weeks due to a shoulder injury suffered in Week 6. However, Tate was able to get rested up during Detroit’s bye in Week 7. He then returned to practice this week, though it was mostly just limited work.
Even so, Tate now has a chance to play Sunday night after that looked highly unlikely coming into the week. It helps his fantasy potential that fellow wide receiver Kenny Golladay is out for this game, which should lead to more targets for Tate.
Fantasy Impact: Even if Tate is active, he’s facing a strong Steelers secondary, which is allowing the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season. You should keep Tate and all Lions receivers on the bench this week.
