The Houston Texans did not have DeAndre Hopkins present for Friday’s practice, though he’s not believed to be injured. After practice, head coach Bill O’Brien said Hopkins was given a personal day off, though he wouldn’t reveal any more details.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 8: What to do with DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins was surprisingly absent from Friday’s practice. Will that affect his Week 8 status?

However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Texans players are upset over recent comments made by owner Bob McNair. It’s unclear if this will have any effect on Hopkins’ availability for Week 8 versus the Seattle Seahawks.
This is a huge game for the Texans as they look to stay in the playoff hunt. Hopkins has also been one of the best fantasy football receivers this season. He ranks second in fantasy points scored among wide receivers entering Week 8.
However, Hopkins is facing his stiffest test of the season in Seattle, who will likely have All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman going against the star receiver.
Fantasy Advice: Seattle is allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers this season. Between this and what looks like some internal issues in Houston, it’s probably best to bench Hopkins this week.
