New England Patriots wideout Danny Amendola has not been the same since going through the concussion protocol in Week 1. The nine-year veteran receiver caught six balls for 100 yards in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs before going down early in the fourth quarter of the game. Since his return, Amendola has only caught nine passes for 90 yards through Weeks 3 and 4. He finally scored a touchdown Sunday in the loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy football, Week 5: Danny Amendola, start or sit for TNF?
Injuries have really slowed down Amendola this season. We look at the fantasy impact.

There is a small chance that Amendola will have a bounce-back game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday night. The Bucs are a much easier opponent than Carolina, however, Amendola looks to be too low on QB Tom Brady’s target list right now to be very productive.
Fantasy impact: Amendola is playing banged up and that has caused problems for his fantasy value. In addition to the concussion, Amendola has had to battle a knee problem since Week 1 as well. With Chris Hogan stepping up in the passing game, Amendola moves further down the fantasy totem pole. He does have some PPR league potential, but there is not much else going for Amendola right now.
