Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins is red hot at the moment. His hands can’t seem to hold onto the football though. That’s what makes this sit/start decision so difficult.
Fantasy football sit/start advice, Week 5: Alex Collins
The Ravens’ rusher has emerged as a top waiver wire addition heading into Week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

He’s fumbled twice in three games, yet he’s carried the ball 24 times over that span and averaged more than eight yards per carry. Talk about a toss up!
Fantasy impact: Danny Woodhead is still hurt. The Ravens’ other three backs have all contributed sparingly. Even with coach John Harbaugh saying he’s on a short leash because of fumbles, it’s hard to imagine Collins not getting the ball right now.
At the same time it’s become obvious he’s in high risk, high reward territory. Another fumble will probably see Collins on the bench for a good long while. He may also struggle against the Oakland Raiders if the silver and black get ahead early. In deep leagues it’ll be tempting to start Collins, but it’s probably best to wait a few more weeks for now.
Recommendation: Sit
