Los Angeles Rams receiver Sammy Watkins isn’t going to make any noise against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. He had just two targets come his way in two of the last three games.
Fantasy football sit/start advice, Week 5: Sammy Watkins
The Rams’ offseason addition of a top pass catcher isn’t going to help owners in Week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

While he’s very talented and considered the team’s top pass catcher on the depth chart, it looks like 2017 might play out differently than most fantasy owners originally thought.
Fantasy impact: Wakins busted out for six catches, 106 yards two touchdowns in Week 3. Other than that Todd Gurley and Cooper Kupp seem to be taking away the touches and production.
Watkins will undoubtedly have other big games this season, but not in a game where Richard Sherman will be blanketing him. Watkins has been in tough most of the season anyway.
Owners in deeper leagues will have to start him regardless of circumstances, but if you have a choice it’s better to sit him out. There will be other opportunities to use the receiver in more favorable matchups.
Recommendation: Sit
