This is a pivotal week for fantasy owners as the first quarter of the NFL ends and bye weeks begin. Now is the perfect time to take a waiver wire dive and find the perfect defensive matchup to exploit. At tight end, there are a lot of streamers just waiting to be claimed. So if you need to find a bye week fill-in look no further than these big men that you can pick up right now and play right away.

Antonio Gates, Los Angeles Chargers (30 percent)

Gates and teammate TE Hunter Henry have a wonderful matchup against the New York Giants Sunday. Last week, the Giants faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end tandem of Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard and gave up 143 yards and two touchdowns on six catches to the pair. So far this season the Giants have allowed opposing TEs to score five times and have double-digit fantasy performance in every game. For the start of the bye week period, Gates is a great looking flier.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, New York Jets (19 percent)

Coming off his two-game suspension, Seferian-Jenkins instantly provided much-needed help to the New York Jets offense. ASJ had nine catches on 10 targets for 77 yards in since his return in Week 3. This week he faces the Cleveland Browns, the third worst defense against opposing tight ends. The Browns gave up two touchdowns to Jesse James in Week 1 and two more scores to the next tight end on this list, Tyler Kroft, again in Week 4. ASJ could be the best streaming tight end on waivers for Week 5.

Tyler Kroft, Cincinnati Bengals (8 percent)

Kroft had a career-high performance in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns catching six balls for 68 yards and two touchdowns. The third-year TE had to step up in the Bengals offense with their Pro Bowl TE Tyler Eifert going down for several weeks with a reoccurring back problem. Kroft has nine catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns since taking over the starting tight end role in Week 3. This week Kroft will face a much tougher defense in the Buffalo Bills. Kroft’s numbers could take a hit, however, with QB Andy Dalton is leaning on him as much as Eifert, Kroft should still see plenty of action.
