Wendell Smallwood injury update: Eagles RB questionable vs. Cardinals
We break down the fantasy impact of the Eagles backfield in light of Wendell Smallwood’s injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles are listing Wendell Smallwood as questionable to face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.
The Eagles were expected to rely heavily on LeGarrette Blount and Darren Sproles this year with Smallwood getting occasional touches. However, Sproles injured his wrist in Week 3 and went on injured reserve, leading to Blount and Smallwood sharing touches.
Smallwood would respond with his breakout game of 71 yards on 12 carries to go with one catch for nine yards in Week 3 vs. the New York Giants. He followed that up with 34 yards and rushing score vs. the Los Angeles Chargers to go with four grabs for 45 yards.
However, Smallwood suffered a knee injury in that game, which now has him very iffy for Week 5. He missed practice this week, so consider him more doubtful than likely to play.
Fantasy impact: If Smallwood plays, he faces a Cardinals defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this week. Even if he’s active, keep Smallwood benched this week.
